Another tepid, restless Wednesday night. The garbage disposal is clogged again and it’s starting to reek. The baby is crying. And your wife woke up as a roach again and is crawling up the wall. Great. And if you are late into the factory again they will dock your family’s protein pellet rations by thirty percent.

You lie awake in bed, drenched in sweat, staring at the cracked plaster in the ceiling. Your new building is collapsing around you. Sounds, textures, crunches, screeches fill your head as you try to find silence, but silence eludes you. Each creak, each distant rumble, each fading echo forces you to recall something terrifying from your past. You wipe the sweat from your eyes, flip the damp side of the pillow to find the cool side but find only disappointment, then roll around the sticky bed mat to find comfort but it just ain’t there. These sensations all add up to The Logic of Consequences. The dire results of your life’s long list of disappointing decisions. Your Illusion of Safety is just that, an illusion. Memories of your time in the Hunting Lodge make you queasy. Boy Dirt Car is a phrase you just can’t get out of your head for some reason. You crave Throbbing Gristle for breakfast, but The Logic of Consequences is what you’ll get and you’ll be happy for it.
